+Investigators come in 5 classes: [[Guardian]], [[Seeker]], [[Rogue]], [[Mystic]], [[Survivor]], which represent the broad theme of the investigators through their abilities and what cards they are allowed to draw from in deckbuilding. Each class also has gameplay themes as well.
+**[[Guardians]]** feel compelled to defend humanity, and thus go out of their way to combat the forces of the Mythos. They have a strong sense of duty and selflessness that drives them to protect others, and to hunt monsters down. They are the most skilled class at killing monsters and tanking damage, usually carrying a very high Combat rating. They frequently rely on having assets in play, such as weapons to deal extra damage, or having combat-oriented allies to help soak up incoming damage and/or boost outgoing damage.
+**[[Seekers]]** are primarily concerned with learning more about the world and about the Mythos. They wish to research forgotten lore, map out uncharted areas, and study strange creatures. The most skilled class at gathering clues, usually carrying a very high Intellect rating. They have many assets and events that help to investigate successfully, or gain multiple clues at once when they succeed. Seekers also have a unique mechanic with cards that may be upgraded by fulfilling a mechanic during a campaign, such as taking an action to identify a glyph.
+**[[Mystics]]** are drawn to and influenced by the arcane forces of the Mythos. Many have spell-casting abilities, able to manipulate the forces of the universe through magical talent. The most skilled at utilizing spells, usually carrying a very high Willpower rating. Mystics generally focus on boosting their Willpower, and then turning everything into a Willpower test, with many cards that allow them to fight, evade, or investigate using Willpower. They tend to be a "high risk, high reward" class that is more reliant on luck - they have actions that have high potential rewards, but also have painful consequences for failure (such as taking Horror, or increasing Doom).
+**[[Rogues]]** are self-serving and out for themselves. Wily and opportunistic, they are always eager for a way to exploit their current situation.  The most skilled at evading enemies, usually carrying a very high Agility rating. Rogue cards tend to involve either taking extra actions, gaining resources rapidly, or drawing extra cards. By combining these, Rogues have the potential to create very powerful combos. They have more of a 'jack-of-all-trades' approach than Guardians, Seekers, or Mystics.
+**[[Survivors]]** are everyday people in the wrong place at the wrong time, simply trying to survive. Ill-prepared and ill-equipped, Survivors are the underdogs, who rise to the occasion when their lives are threatened. Another 'jack-of-all-trades' class, Survivors do not specalise in one skill. Instead, their talents revolve around mitigating bad luck, with a knack for things like evading enemies, preventing damage and horror, and turning failed skill checks into successes.
